Mission Statement
Develop a payload for the Shadow XP upper stage, DART, demonstrating
the capability of the DART rocket of hosting a functional payload,
including data transmission to the ground.
Primary Objective
To demonstrate the feasibility of a functional
radio transmission system for a rocket with extreme space limitations,
such as the Shadow XP upper stage, DART.
Secondary Objectives
To collect flight performance data during the flight period, to
transmit the data to the ground, and to receive and process it at
a local ground station.
Flight performance data of interest includes:
- Temperature
- Acceleration
- Spinning Rate
- Altitude
