THE
SYSTEM BASELINE DESIGN
As shown in Figure1 below, the Payload system consists of
the following subsystems:
- Structure
- Electrical Power System (EPS)
- Sensors
- Command and Data Handling (C&DH)
- Communications (COMM)
- Ground Station
The EPS provides
power to the other subsystems. Furthermore, it provides a removebefore-flight
pin to energize the payload before flight. An acceleration switch
is being triggered after launch to power-on the subsystems.
The sensors
are various transducers that are connected to the AD channels of
the
Command & Data
Handling(C&DH) processes the data and sends AX-25 packages
to the transmitter in equal intervals.
The COMM system
consists of transmitter and antenna system. The COMM transmits the
AX-25 data to the ground.
The Ground system
is a simple ground station, capable of receiving and decoding the
data from space.
